Questions regarding MMR vaccine

Many parents may have questions regarding the recent cases of measles in the community.

Luckily, the MMR vaccine is highly effective!  One dose of MMR gives 93% immunity and after the second dose your child has 97% immunity.  The Monroe County Health Department is currently recommending continuing with our regular vaccine schedule.  The first MMR is given at 12 months of age and the 2nd is given at 4 years of age.

If the recommendations change regarding this, we will post more information and contact those in need of early immunization.

If your child is not up to date with their immunizations, please call our office to schedule an appointment.
