Rapid COVID PCR Lab Test Details:
Elmwood Pediatric Group’s two locations, Clinton Crossings and Bushnell’s Basin, now offer a Rapid COVID PCR test as well as a Rapid Strep PCR test for patients who are ill or have been directly exposed to COVID.
An in-office appointment with a provider is required before this testing. Please call us to schedule a same day appointment. We can get same day results on most samples, although if a test is run late in the day, it may be resulted the next day.
DUE TO NATIONAL SHORTAGES OF CEPHEID COVID TEST SUPPLIES WE DO NOT ALWAYS HAVE IN-HOUSE TEST SUPPLIES. IF WE HAVE SHORTAGES WE WILL SEND THE TEST TO URMC AND IT CAN TAKE 48-72 HOURS FOR RESULTS TO BE RECEIVED. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THIS INCONVENIENCE AND WE WISH WE HAD CONTROL OF THIS.
