Dr. Francis completed her undergraduate education at Thiel College and received her medical degree with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Francis is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Francis serves on the Board of Directors of the University of Rochester Medical Center and on the Medical Center Quality of Care Committee. She is also active in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) having held several leadership positions. Currently she serves on several AAP committees including the Council on Clinical Information Technology, Steering Committee on Quality Improvement and Management. Dr. Francis was the recipient of the 2007 Edward Mott Moore award, the highest honor from the Monroe County Medical Society for persons who serve the community. Dr. Francis is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester. She lives in Pittsford with her husband, a hematologist. She has three grown children and two adorable granddaughters.
