Nasal Flu Vaccine Not Effective and Will Not be Used

This fall we will again recommend that all patients be vaccinated against influenza by receiving the influenza vaccine. Unfortunately, data has shown that the Flumist (nasal flu vaccine) is not effective and therefore the CDC and the AAP recommended that all patients receive flu shots. Therefore when we have our flu clinics in the fall (and we will put out a notice here) we will only be offering flu shots.

For more information please check the CDC website.
